The pentagram, summary

The pentagram is a five (penta) point image (gram) made out of one continuous line with five angles. It calls upon the force of the sephirot Geburah, the strength, and the concept of movement and action. Depending on the direction of the pentagram energy, it is either summoning of banishing, inviting or pushing away.

With a clockwise movement of energy, with yourself as the point of origin, the energy comes from where you stand and goes away from you, pushing away or banishing. With a counter-clockwise movement, you are attracting energy towards you, calling or summoning.

In the ritual of the Lower Earth Banishing Pentagram, we are starting from the earth point, lower left, and doing a clockwise movement, to the up point, then the lower right, left point, then the right point, and finishing at the beginning, at the lower left. This is somewhat a clockwise movement and it banishes. It starts at the earth point, so it banishes lower dense energies. Deamons and ghosts are usualy afraid of this banishing pentagram.

If you start with the fire point, you will be banishing the high energies of life from a place. I don’t know why someone would do that at start, but it can be useful to temper the deamons of anger in a room. If you do a counter-clockwise movement, starting at the point of fire, you will be calling the fire element into the room, enhancing strength, but also risking to ignite anger and chaos. For these reasons, it is recommended that you don’t banish or invoke the fire element. No mage starts with the fire element. All start with the earth element.

The pentagram has to be vibrated in the ethereal plane with your willpower, and the astral plane with visualization. It also must vibrate the energy of it’s purpose. When used in a ritual, it is not only a physical drawing, but a astral tool to create movements. Be careful in your experiments with the pentagram.
